Meet Sanna from operations team

The Operations center is the backbone of our company, and they play an essential role in making sure our business runs smoothly. The staff at the Operations center provide support and expertise in a variety of areas.

In this interview you will get to meet Sanna, one of our exceptional members of the operations team.

How long have you been employed by Travel Support?

I have been at Travel Support for almost a year. I started my role as Assistance coordinator in November 2022.

How would you describe the company culture and your experience with it?

I would say that we have a supportive and collaborative culture in our office.
When I feel like I am stuck making a decision or have a task that’s hard to handle, I know that I can always talk to my supervisor or another colleague about it.

What does a typical workday look like for you?
In our line of work there is not really a typical workday, anything can happen. For example, I work both day and evening shifts and they are quite different. The day shifts normally start with booking appointments for the cases received outside of the GP clinic’s office hours. After that, I continue my day by managing the urgent cases coming in.

What do you find to be the most enjoyable aspect of your job?

I find it exciting that you never know what kind of assistance will be required in a case. Each day is different – there’s always a wide variation of tasks with unique ways of handling them.

How do you handle potential obstacles when interacting with travelers from diverse backgrounds while traveling in Europe?

Although we face language barriers in some instances, I strive to clearly communicate the situation to both the client and insurance company. Additionally, we operate in multiple countries which require us to adapt to country-specific regulations.
