Our history

Travel Support Europe was established in 2009 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

We began by supporting travellers in need of medical assistance in the Netherlands. As demand grew, we expanded step by step – building 24/7 operations and long-term local partnerships across Europe.

  • 2009 - Travel Support Holland BV was founded in Amsterdam to support travellers needing medical assistance.
  • 2012 - Established a 24/7 Alarm Centre in Varberg, Sweden.
  • 2013 - 2019 - Expanded coverage across Benelux, the Nordic countries, the UK, and Ireland.
  • 2020 - Acquired by a Swedish investment company to support long-term growth.
  • 2021 - Achieved full European coverage across all countries in Europe.
  • 2023 - Rebranded and launched a new website and visual identity.
  • 2024 - Strengthened our European provider network through long-term local partnerships.
